It was doing very well, had high number of hits every day and a great group of followers who I hope will follow me over here, but I just don’t have the time to monitor all pages I have going online. I have several sites I write for and I just started ghostwriting for some blogs and publications, not to mention I have a regular job as well as a side business in social media. (i got my hands in a lot of things, what can i say). So something has to give. Since I have a very large It Ain’t Hemingway…following here and KOL is one of my featured artists (and at one time this was a KOL fan site), I’m directing everyone to this blog and to my private FB page https://www.facebook.com/itainthemingway. I’m not gonna lie. I didn’t watch the live stream of the concert in Brazil because I’ve heard these songs a million times. I know they’re gonna kill it, and I know what they look like. I can tell you Matthew will make out with his guitar during Closer, Jared will passionately hump the back of his bass, Caleb will throw a pick out into the audience at the end of each song and Nathan will glisten and look godly upon his elevated throne. If I want to watch them live I’ll just put in my 02 dvd and enjoy it without the blurry focus and poor sound.

Well, when I decided to check out You Tube to find some video’s to share on my blog, it occurred to me, it wasn’t that the songs were old or that the video’s were blurry, or because I was too familiar with their onstage rituals. Every performance is a unique experience because of the audience. I was really touched by the crowd singing in unison. Some off key, some way too loud but all with pure passion. If I hadn’t known it was happening in Brazil, I would have thought it was a concert in my own country. This crowd new every word and with perfect pronunciation, they knew what they were singing. Live performances are the best part of music and even if you can’t be there you can still get that feeling in some small way.

Oh Caleb, *sigh* wonder if Dixie inherited the little ear nub thingy. That’d be cute.

It’s time to REALLY celebrate for a LEGITIMATE reason and not one of your made up celebrations like National “I’m Thirsty” day, or “It’s a miracle because I made dinner all by myself” day, or “I was 6 inches from a hole in one” day, or “women’s rhythmic ribbon gymnastics is on tv, hey, I don’t care, it’s a competitive sport and nothing else is on ESPN” day, or “6 months till college football starts” day….you get my point.
