Sulimay’s: Conversations Overheard
I woke up on Saturday early so I thought I’d get my day started and treat myself to breakfast at Sulimay’s Diner in Fishtown. Sulimay’s is your typical neighborhood diner where everyone is friendly and everyone knows each other. The regular clientele have been going to Sulimay’s forever and if you get there early enough you’re lucky to run into the senior patrons and boy do they deliver the entertainment. Here are a few choice conversation bits I overheard in the short time I was there on Saturday….and its all REAL people.
“You should really go see the Star Trek Movie even if your not a trekky. I’m not really a trekky…I’ve only been to 3 conventions.”
The Random Lung Patrons:
” How long does your oxygen tank last?”
” 2hrs”
“Oh really mine lasts 4hrs.”
“is there anything your not competitive about?”

“Flatlined 3 years ago.”
“Really? You look pretty good.”

Kelly is also a frequent contributor to “O” magazine. She is an amazing woman who I have known since High School and if you get the chance you should read her memoir.
SPARK PEOPLE OK, I’m not gonna lie I am the last person to be pushing a site like this but I’m telling you it will keep you on track if you want to eat healthy. Unfortunately I fell off the health wagon and desperately need to get back on. Was doing great and even took hardcore nutrition courses which were extremely beneficial and this was one of the sites they recommended. You can log in calories and portions, find great recipes, share great recipes, etc. It’s very much like a social network for health conscious people.
