When 2 guys are having an argument and one tells the other “S**K MY D**K!!!” It really just comes off as an angry invitation if you ask me.

Who said Golf was a safe sport. There’s a cactus attack waiting around every corner!

As I’ve stated before, although I am not professional on any subject I do consider myself  an authority on all topics. I’m taking the opportunity to share with you my predictions on who will win in the Oscar race this year. My choices are based on a well thought out process and I take into consideration not only performance but how annoying the individual may be, how hot the actors are, level of cheesiness, how many hankies I used if it was a tear-jerker or how many LOL’s it caused if it was a comedy. My winning choices are highlighted in BLUE.

Best Picture

Avatar

Avatar James Cameron and Jon Landau

My Opinion: Basically this was Pocahontas in blue and I thought it was pretty dumb and Disney should sue.

The Blind Side

The Blind Side Gil Netter, Andrew A. Kosove and Broderick Johnson

My Opinion: I thought that this was a good movie but a little too heavy on the heroism. It was a pretty little package with not enough rough patches.

District 9

District 9 Peter Jackson and Carolynne Cunningham

This movie not only grossed me out but bored me to tears. It was also one of 3 movies I saw this year with the human transformer theme in it. Not original.

An Education

An Education Finola Dwyer and Amanda Posey

I did not see this but I will say it’s good because my girl crush Carrie Mulligan is in it.

The Hurt Locker

The Hurt Locker Kathryn Bigelow, Mark Boal, Nicolas Chartier and Greg Shapiro

This movie was moving and intense and should win the Oscars.

Inglourious Basterds

Inglourious Basterds Lawrence Bender

Really loved this movie, completely original great acting, hot guys, lots of LOLs. Highly recommend!

Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire

Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire Lee Daniels, Sarah Siegel-Magness and Gary Magness

This was a very moving story about a neglected daughter raped by her father.  Practically a whole box of hankies for this tear-jerker.

A Serious Man

A Serious Man Joel Coen and Ethan Coen

I have tried 2 times to watch this movie but there’s problems with the video. So far it looks hysterical but I’ll have to get back to you on that.

Up

Up Jonas Rivera

Cute movie, animations rarely win.

Up in the Air

Up in the Air Daniel Dubiecki, Ivan Reitman and Jason Reitman

Really liked this movie. Thought it was sweet and simple but George annoys the crap out of me.

Actor in a Leading Role

Jeff Bridges

Jeff Bridges Crazy Heart

Hell YES! Sweet movie, a little slow but I’ve loved Jeff Bridges since The Last Picture Show and that is reason enough for him to win.

George Clooney

George Clooney Up in the Air

See explanation above.

Colin Firth

Colin Firth A Single Man

Didn’t see it and he will forever be Mr. Darcy to me.

Morgan Freeman

Morgan Freeman Invictus

Does not compute if he’s not the president.

Jeremy Renner

Jeremy Renner The Hurt Locker

Great performance, hot, badass in this movie just to new to the scene.

Actor in a Supporting Role

Matt Damon

Matt Damon Invictus

Did anyone even see this movie…

Woody Harrelson

Woody Harrelson The Messenger

…or this one

Christopher Plummer

Christopher Plummer The Last Station

Good lord, the beard. Where’s Captain Von Trapp is the wierdo with the beardo. Didn’t see it.

Stanley Tucci

Stanley Tucci The Lovely Bones

Completely creepy in this movie but the “between place” and the end ruined it and i can’t get past that.

Christoph Waltz

Christoph Waltz Inglourious Basterds

OH this guy was soooo good and definitely deserves to win

Actress in a Leading Role

Sandra Bullock

Sandra Bullock The Blind Side

Hands down she’s gonna win. Great performance, out of her element and everybody likes her.

Helen Mirren

Helen Mirren The Last Station

Yeah, the Oscars need new blood.

Carey Mulligan

Carey Mulligan An Education

Of course I wish she would win but again new comers don’t usually win but it has set the bar for her now.

Gabourey Sidibe

Gabourey Sidibe Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire

Good performance but I would not say award worthy.

Meryl Streep

Meryl Streep Julie & Julia

Come on Committee! Did you run out of Actresses to consider. Yes love her, this movie sucked.

Actress in a Supporting Role

Penélope Cruz

Penélope Cruz Nine

Tried to watch it, this movie was torcher. Sorry, not a Penelope Cruz fan, she bores me.

Vera Farmiga

Vera Farmiga Up in the Air

Absolutely love her. She’s a really superb actresses and glad to see her being recognized.

Maggie Gyllenhaal

Maggie Gyllenhaal Crazy Heart

I thought she called it in for this role. She bored me and her emotional moments and reactions have been done a million times.

Anna Kendrick

Anna Kendrick Up in the Air

Really great in this role. So good at uptight, young know it all with major OCD. Loved her.

Mo'Nique

Mo’Nique Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire

Best performance this year and the fact she’s a comedian by trade makes it that much more amazing.

Directing

Avatar

Avatar James Cameron

I think he’s an arrogant cocky bastard so no, he won’t win.

The Hurt Locker

The Hurt Locker Kathryn Bigelow

It’s all about the underdog sometimes, and I’d like to see her stick it to her ex.

Inglourious Basterds

Inglourious Basterds Quentin Tarantino

Great Director, hard to look at. Annoying in general.

Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire

Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire Lee Daniels

Don’t know anything about this dude although he did a great job directing.

Up in the Air

Up in the Air Jason Reitman

Another great Director and comes from a very talented family.

Those are my predictions, be sure to come back after the Oscars and see how I did. Please contribute and tell me who you think will win or why my predictions are lame. I love comments and a good constructive argument on useless subjects.
