The Head and The Heart: Record Store Day (video)
April 27, 2011
KEXP and Sub Pop just released this great video of “The Head and the Heart” performing on Record Store Day.
“Fans lined up and filled both locations to capacity, (800 fans at Easy Street and 450 at Sonic Boom) with lines outside both stores to eager to see Seattle’s fastest rising band. Working closely with the folks at KEXP to capture these performances we now present you an insider look into a day in the life of Seattle’s own The Head and the Heart.”
This young band has hit the ground running and are taking over the Seattle scene. The band is still in its toddler stage at 2 years but they’ve been a whirlwind and it won’t be stopping anytime soon. From the get-go when my buddies at Sub Pop sent me their first single I was hooked. Check out this concert review I did from last winters performance at The Electric Factory in Philadelphia.

Guilty Pleasures
April 27, 2011
Thought it would be fun to start a new thing and throw some guilty pleasure songs on my blog every once-in-awhile. We all have them, that song that reminds you of a certain time in your life. The song you sang into your hairbrush as a kid. So tell me what is your guilty pleasure. I may just post it and give you a shout out.
Today’s guilty pleasure is George Michael’s, Freedom. The video where the “Supermodel” was born. It was either this or “Father Figure”, which is also awesome but Freedom has that “Hell Ya, Lets Dance”, factor at the end which I love.
