What do Astronauts, the ocean and Wolf Parade have in common? We have no idea, but all three are present in the new Wolf Parade video for their song “Yulia.” The song “Yulia” appears on the recent and wholly excellent Wolf Parade albumEXPO 86 and the video was directed by Scott Coffey (who also directed the Handsome Furs video for “I’m Confused”). Starting Thursday, Sept. 30th this new video for “Yulia” will be available at Bravelydone.com.

Wolf Parade will be touring in the US throughout the month of November. Click here for a full list of Wolf Parade dates.

The Twilight Singers release new single

New MP3 from The Twilight Singers
Sub Pop is releasing a new album by The Twilight Singers in early 2011 and you can hear the debut single from this album right now. “Blackbird and the Fox” features Ani DiFranco and you have only to click here (and enter your email address) to listen.

The Twilight Singers’ Greg Dulli begins his “An Evening with Greg Dulli” tour in New Orleans on October 8th. Dulli will lead his band through a wide selection of songs encompassing his entire career, including some new songs off the Twilight Singers’ 2011 record.

Greg Dulli began his musical career as the front-man and guitarist for the pioneering band The Afghan Whigs in 1987. The band was praised by critics and fans alike, releasing six studio albums before disbanding in the late ‘90s. Dulli went on to form The Twilight Singers, known for their indie, soul and electronic sound.  The Twilight Singers have released four albums including the critically lauded Blackberry Belle and Powder Burns on One Little Indian in 2003 and 2006 respectively. In 2008, Dulli collaborated with close friend Mark Lanegan to form The Gutter Twins. Their debut release,Saturnalia (Sub Pop), was chosen by SPIN as one of the top albums of 2008.

For the next week we are allowing you the opportunity to stream the bands entire record, which you can listen to here.
