Oh man, I’ve been waiting for this festival all year. I’m all hooked up with a press pass and I stoked to have the opportunity to write about the awesome bands that are playing. Every year this young festival gets bigger and better.  This week is a busy week for me; I have a full work schedule and I have to start writing my previews for the big event. I’m figuring out what I need to bring, and washing my flimsiest/coolest dresses/skirts and tops for maximum coolness. I’m all about dresses in the summer, the less touching my body the better. I’ve got the sunblock, hat, and comfortable shoes. I prepared my list of bands I want to/have to/ see. I checked out the public transportation vs the driving situation to see which was the easiest. I bought batteries for my camera and charged my iphone for notes.

For my hometown list, I can’t wait to see Dr. Dog, City Rain,  War on Drugs and Work Drugs.

I can not believe I finally get to see Wilco live! So stoked.

Other shows I’m really excited about are:

The Lumineers
JD Souther
JC Brooks and the Uptown Sound
We are Augustines
Delta Rae

just to name a few.

We are supposedly scheduled for one of the most perfect weekends ever, so I hope nothing changes and everything goes over without a hitch.

Stay tuned to my posts. I’ll be posting here and on Examiner, hopefully on all 3 channels but at least 2. I’ll post links to the site here .

Thanks and if any other Philly folks are going to the event let me know in comments. Would love to hear about who you’ll be seeing or  what your weekend was like and did it meet your expectations. Thanks!

Can’t wait to see these awesome hometown fella’s. xo  : )

I’m not a huge fan of The Avett Bros. but I have no problem staring at their beautiful faces for 45 minutes. Shallow? yes, but come on now, can you blame me? They’re so purdy!

So excited to see this band. Awesome!

“I only wear blue”

“Love Is All I Am”

I’m starting my preview leading up to WXPN’s XPoNential Festival, July 20-21 at Wiggins Park in NJ.
